Buying an used car is a great gift to give yourself or someone you love. Used car “SALE!” ads pop up every 5 seconds it seems. But most people cannot decipher the hype from the promotion, and end up wasting thousands of dollars for some crap.

Generally most people go to car dealerships where they charge interest and fees! Sincerely speaking these dealers rob you of your money. Car dealerships offer aggressive salesmen, and a limited variety of manufactures to display. As a result you have less brands, make and models to choose from. What if there was a way to buy a luxury car affordably?

Car auctions online is a great way to buy your first luxurious dream car. Online car auctions display a wide number of cars with latest models, colors and features, leaving you with plenty of choices to choose from. These cars are provided by seized and repossess government car auctions, Fire & Emergency Services, Federal & State Government, Police Services/departments incl. Sheriffs/Marshalls Dept., and Hospitals & Ambulance Services just to name a few.

There are many advantages of buying an used car from an online auction such as:

*There’s a range of makes and models available for a buyer to choose from
*Luxury cars are available at 20-30% less than market rate with good features and interiors
*There are no or low-interest rates available if you choose to get financial help with the partners. This decreases the car’s cost even further!

It’s always best to buy an used car at an online auction, especially if it’s a luxury model. However there are a ton of online auctions going on…….. But you must know where to find them.

Recently, Lars Joseffson, CEO of Vattenfall, a Swedish generator of electric power, one of the most powerful in Europe, stood before the U.N. General Assembly and presented a petition urging a renewed commitment to environmental law for the control of the global warming phenomena, and the world stood in awe. When you have one of the most likely suspects in the pollution of our atmosphere stand up and urge the nations of the world to take a proactive stance on climatic changes caused by carbon emissions, you’ve got to listen.

Joseffson, as a CEO, would have as his mandate the maximization of profits for his corporation and the minimization of costs, and yet this CEO is proposing that countries of the world, especially the business sector, take on their shoulders the stewardship of the planet, even if that would mean the reduction of profits, the increase of costs for such renovations to plants and business facilities that are “environment friendly”, which is to say, considerate of the sustainability of life and the quality of life for all life forms, and especially for humanity. This man is not conformable to the stereotypes of CEOs that project a selfish, greedy, profits first and only businessman. This man, this CEO, is actually coming off as…a human being.

Environmental law took a hit when the preceding administration, for the sake of U.S. business, denied the reality of global warming and consequentially wounded the once admired image of Americans throughout the world. Near-sighted CEOs, seeing that, at least under their leadership, their corporations could show greater profits by ignoring the expense of environmentally safe facilities, were eager to credit that president with an intelligence and vision that far exceed what was actually present in the man, and throughout his administration the irresponsible and greedy CEOs had their run of things, at the expense of ecosystems and the health and life of future generations. While we still have some of these CEOs with us today, the revealing power of science has shown us that the emperor has no clothes, that global warming and all its threats loom menacingly like a Nazis corps on the shelves of our coast, and that presidents will deceive.

Now, finally, the prospect of a resurgence of efforts in environmental law is receiving new energy from energy captains like Josefsson. A positive voice, he assures us the current president will do what it takes to get universal consensus on reasonable laws, that the international community is ambitious to reestablish environmental law among all nations, and that environmentally conscious consumers will soon be demanding the same consciousness from business to great affect. The United States is still recovering from the arrogance of the Bush administration and its one-sided pampering of big business: we are not leaders in this new resurgence. The Europeans, like Josefsson, are at the forefront, carrying on the cause for the whole human race instead of for political backers and money elite. Whether the U.S. will ever recover from the Bush administration remains to be seen. One thing is certain: we have models to work from, noble men like Lars G. Josefsson, CEO and fellow human being, truly, a homo sapien.

It seems so old-fashioned, a cover letter for a resume. In an age where (some) people have to be explained with patience why casual throwaway grammar or texting abbreviations do not belong on a job application, one needs to take a long and hard look at how to not let the cover letter fall by the wayside. Actually, one simple idea in defense of the cover letter should do – if you don’t have a long and varied range of experience in your career, if you are a relative fresher, your prospective employer always, always expects a cover letter. The hiring manager who looks at a sensitively and capably written cover letter is inevitably going to be drawn by the expressiveness on display, and is going to want to know your resume better. The cover letter, as is probably self-evident, is your opening act for the headliner that is your resume – the Jonny Winters to your resume’s Led Zeppelin. It’s supposed to get your prospective employer all worked up about what is to come.

So here’s a little I have gathered in my years looking closely at the effect cover letters have on hiring managers and job recruiters. Inevitably, an all-purpose salutation doesn’t go over as well as a personal address does. Openers like "Dear Sir or Madam" easily tell them that you didn’t even put in the work to learn if they are men or women. That’s not going to look so friendly when the next application has someone who’s taken the trouble to call ahead, and find out all about the hiring manager’s name and even how to spell it (Tailor, and not Taylor). A cover letter for resume is meant to be short and to the point. It certainly should never exceed a page, unless you have something super great to say past that. As much as the cover letter is about you, it is only about you as long as it serves the hiring manager’s interests in hiring you. If you did very well at college basketball, that might not really be any of his business at this point. He just wants to know why your resume is supposed to be important to him; so that’s all you need to tell him.

A cover letter for a resume is supposed to be something that gets the hiring manager personally interested in you. So you need to have everything in there, custom written for that particular company, for that particular job. Let’s say your job has a lot to do with putting together a top-notch customer service unit for a cell phone maker. You need to play up your technical prowess, your organizing skills and the accomplishments in your past that play up your ability to speak to the tech heads and the customers. If you put in a generic cover letter that says something not entirely applicable – like how great you were at being an assembly line foreman at a previous job, you must make no more than a mention of it. The idea also is to play up your assets, without laboring the point. As far as possible, try to describe your aptness for the job by putting in specifics. That way, you make your point and yet don’t tend to sound so cocky. If instead of explaining how your customer service organizing skills have resulted in a 98% satisfaction vote for customers at your previous job, you just say that you have magical people skills, that might not look so good.

And in the end, a cover letter for a resume, not to mention the resume itself, is all about the truth. You are allowed to spin the truth a little, but you can’t bend it.

An untruth on your resume is no longer as easy to get away with as it once was. Our society today is all about background checks and internet records. If you are making something up, sooner or later they are going to get around to finding it out. And a discovery they make, they will share with friends in the entire industry. If you look, you will find that there is a grand tradition in any profession of lying for a good job and getting caught, even at the highest levels – the CEO’s of Radio Shack, Bausch & Lomb and Lotus software, for example. They claimed imaginary qualifications and achievements. The idea is simple – do not create a resume with utter falsifications. But if you want to spin the truth a bit, well, that is a different matter altogether.

It happens when there are uncomfortable truths about your past that are really not that important. Sometimes, the complete truth is actually not advised. Maybe at one point you quit work a year to better take care of your very young children; maybe you skipped from job to job ten to the year at one point. How do you fudge in situations like these? To begin with, for a problem with chronology, a good way to fudge is to just create a resume that is functional – and not laid out year by painful year. You’ll then have no holes in your resume to patch up.

What happens when they come out and ask you questions about things, honest answers to which would not really be discreet. For instance, you could have departed from your previous job rather in a hurry to leave behind an unpleasant boss or maybe a workplace romance that didn’t turn out well. If you bare your soul about the real reason you had to leave the job behind, it will make you look unprofessional. Spinning and fudging a little bit would only make you discreet, not untruthful. You can say that the team play at a previous workplace was not what you had hoped for, but you don’t have to go into specifics. It’s important to use whatever office parlance is in vogue at the time. The phrase ‘culture and personality match’ just happens to go over well these days.

Sometimes, what you would be tempted to think of as a negative could actually work to your advantage if you try to not hide it. For instance, if you had to take five years off to raise your infant children well enough that they could take care of themselves in kindergarten, this is a way to drop out of work that is actually approved of these days. Raising children is a lesson in extreme patience, and these are skills that your employer could possibly use. Unless the sabbatical you took was to lie about at home and watch TV, you could actually spin it to make it sound really good, as it undoubtedly is. Traveling the world, taking care of a sick parent, raising your children, all are considered valid reasons to need to drop out of work for. Just make sure that you don’t call it "stayed back at home". Stress the skills you learned while you did so – raising young children to be strapping and strong.

When my husband and I made the decision to start a family, I knew that it would be the end of my working career — at least for a while. I was perfectly fine with that because I never wanted my child to be raised by a nanny or a daycare center. We thought our finances would allow us to stick with this plan at least until the children were older and able to take care of themselves, but the terrible economy has really thrown us for a loop and destroyed our savings account. I’m not ready to return to an outside job yet and leave my babies in the care of strangers, so I’m currently looking at jobs for stay at home moms.

Unfortunately, it seems like this might be a more difficult task than I first anticipated. There are a lot of scams out there, so I need to be very careful about what kinds of positions I apply for. I’ve read enough to know that if a company asks for money up front before they offer a job, I should run the other way and not look back. But there are some legitimate jobs for stay at home moms out there, and reading a handful of success stories has inspired me not to give up.

One of the most common jobs for stay at home moms seems to be in the medical coding and billing field. These types of positions involve data entry work, and pay very well. But they also require a certificate and lots of training, so I wouldn’t be able to start working right away.

Transcription jobs for stay at home moms are also quite popular these days. To qualify for one of these positions, you need to have good typing skills and have to have some special equipment (such as software and a foot pedal) to make transcribing on your computer a bit easier. Unlike medical coding, there is entry-level transcription work available even to those with no certificates or experience. This is something I definitely want to check out.

Most other jobs for stay at home moms involve selling, which is not my strong suit at all. I know there are some women that make a pretty good income from hosting home parties, recruiting people for their MLM business, or selling cosmetics, but there is absolutely no way I could impose on my friends and family like that. If you can do it, more power to you. That’s just not my style at all.

At least now I have a couple of leads on jobs for stay at home moms. I’m not done with my research yet, but I’m thinking I’ll try to find some transcription gigs while saving money for medical billing classes. All I know is that I’m willing to do anything to continue staying with my kids every day, so I’ll keep right on looking for legitimate work!

If you’re looking for a new career, dental assisting is a great choice. A career as a dental assistant offers you great hours and benefits while allowing you to get into the workforce quickly and easily through fast track certificate dental assistant training, or find an affordable diploma or associate’s degree program that works with your schedule. A dental assistant not only builds a dynamic career, but adds great value to the dental office, becoming a vital contributor to its success. As a dental assistant, you will be expected to perform a large variety of duties, including patient care, office, and laboratory duties. An assistant’s job is usually two-fold, working both in the front of a dental office organizing patient records, and alongside the dentist, to assist in examining patients. Dental assistants make patients comfortable in the dental chair and prepare them for treatment. During the visit, assistants often prepare X-rays, sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, hand instruments and materials to dentists, and keep patients’ mouths dry and clear by using suction hoses or other devices. They also instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare. Most dental assistants work 35-40 hours a week within a dentist office and your job description may vary by office. Many states are expanding the duties of dental assistants to include tasks such as coronal polishing and restorative dentistry functions. These dental assistants must meet specific training and experience requirements. Dental assistants may also be required to prepare materials for impressions and restorations, and process dental X-rays as directed by a dentist. Some assistants may even be allowed to remove sutures, apply topical anesthetics to gums or cavity preventive agents to teeth, remove excess cement used in the filling process, and place dental dams to isolate teeth for treatment. Depending on the type of office you work in, dental assistants may have office duties and/or laboratory duties. Those with office duties schedule and confirm appointments, receive patients, keep treatment records, send bills, receive payments, and order dental supplies and materials. Dental assistants with laboratory duties make casts of the teeth and mouth from impressions, clean and polish removable appliances, and make temporary crowns. Most dental assistants are graduates of specialized training programs offered through community or junior colleges, including the Ross Medical Education Center. These programs can last from a number of months to two years and give students practical internship experience in dental schools and offices. All dental assistant certificate and diploma programs require a high school diploma or GED and some require science or computer-related courses for admission. You can also opt to become certified by passing a dental assistant state exam. This certification insures a dental assistant’s training and knowledge of the profession. Dental assisting employment rates are expected to increase by 30% in the next ten years, so people with dental assistant training are sure to be in high demand. Dental assistants earn an average salary of $29,785, while the upper bracket of experienced, full-time workers can earn closer to $36,564 per year. Flexible schedules and high earnings are the major perks that come with this fast-growing occupation.

There are many different types of jobs available at most local or national ad agencies. Depending on the size of the agency you can expect to see jobs like Receptionist, Account Executive, Account Administrator, Administrative Clerks, Human Resource Specialists, Human Resource Administrator, Copywriter, Art Director, Graphic Designer, Typographer, Creative Director, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer, President, Accountant, Chief Financial Officer, and a few others.

Discounting the very top position of CEO, the best way for a young person straight out of college to get a position is to prepare their resume or portfolio and knock on the door. Many of these ad agencies do not advertise for jobs so it is best if you either call ahead to find out what job openings there are or look in their websites to see if there are any jobs posted. Most agencies these days have extensive websites with a job posting board of some kind or other. Others may want you to apply online by filling out an application there.

Another way to get into an entry-level position at ad agencies is to go to a recruiter or job placement agency. Usually they will charge you a small commission if you are hired but sometimes they just charge the company you are hired by. Some of these agencies only hire for temp work but that is also a good way to get a foot in the door. Remember, these ad agencies are where everyone wants to work so they have no problem getting people to apply. You need to try many different avenues in order to land a job sometimes. Be tenacious and one great way is to land a temp job.

Temps can get noticed by doing great work and not acting like a temp. Go the extra mile, work longer hours; these are the things that will get you noticed. If you are a Graphic Designer, you can go to one of the placement agencies that cater to creative talent. You can find these by doing an online search for creative job placement agencies.

Getting regular jobs at ad agencies can be the most exciting and rewarding thing you have ever done. These jobs can lead to a very satisfying and lucrative career in advertising or graphic design. If you are good at finance or accounting, ad agencies offer several unique positions for your talents. Since they are always billing clients for hours worked and for commercials, signage, collateral and other products that they create, the ad agencies are always on the lookout for accounting types who can serve in that capacity.

Be consistent in your job search and eventually you will be rewarded with a great job.

Many teens look for part time jobs for financial and personal development reasons. Having a job during your teenage years can improve your chances of later employment. It can also help you develop valuable life skills and competences that will be useful in a variety of different situations. Many teens often don’t know where to start when looking for jobs for teens. However, there are many jobs available in different areas that teens can apply for.

One obvious area of employment is working in hospitality. Many teens will end up taking on a role working in a fast food service store, or in a similar franchise. These roles are usually staffed by teens, and these organizations are often very friendly to young workers. They usually don’t require much experience, and will train staff on the job. Hours are often flexible, so teens can organize their part time work around school and other commitments.

Retail is another option for teens. Many jobs for teens are available working in supermarkets, grocery stores, and often other types of retail shops. These roles are great for introducing teens to handling money and dealing with customers. There are often a variety of roles involved. These may include stacking shelves, doing stock take, or managing a service desk or counter. Teens will usually have the option of working weekends or weeknight shifts, and may have some flexibility in their hours.

Other common jobs for teens include babysitting and newspaper delivery. These jobs often aren’t formally advertised. Teens can apply by going to their local newsagent store to see whether there is need for a delivery person. They can also offer their services as a babysitter for families in the neighborhood. This is a common type of employment for teens, and one that often gives them opportunities for completing their homework while they’re working. They can also develop a greater sense of responsibility, as well as time-management skills.

Other job opportunities for teens include performing tasks around the home, such as mowing a neighbor’s lawn, or doing some gardening work in the neighborhood. It is quite common for teens to take on this type of employment, and in doing so they will learn valuable practical skills that they will find beneficial in the future.

Another avenue of employment for teens is volunteer work. There are many areas where teens can volunteer. These may include volunteering at church or at their school or another school or institution in the area. They may also consider working with the homeless or the elderly, or working with community programs. There may be opportunities to work as a volunteer sports coach, tutor, or as a mentor for other children. Volunteer jobs for teens can be very rewarding, and can be an excellent thing to have on their resume when they apply for future work or apply for college.

There are many employment opportunities for teens in a variety of different areas. Often all it takes is a quick look around the neighborhood to identify opportunities for paid employment or volunteer work.

Today, more electrical engineers are at work than ever before. Indeed, it is likely that more people are now employed as electrical engineers than the total of all who worked as electrical engineers prior to the mid-twentieth century. The great increase in the number of electrical engineers along with ongoing developments in technology, organization, and government have markedly changed the nature of engineering. Today’s engineer belongs to a profession that includes Villard de Honnecourt, Han Gonglian, Leonardo da Vinci, John Smeaton, and all the other great engineers, but there is much that is different about engineering today (Mcllwee and Robinson, 23). This paper considers the benefits of being an electrical engineer in the contemporary world, professional and social status of electrical engineers, and some of the challenges they face.

What are the direct benefits of becoming an electrical engineer? Can people of this profession claim the same occupational status as doctors and lawyers, or is it more appropriate to group them with social workers, nurses, schoolteachers and other occupations whose aspirations for professional status are yet to be realized? The issue is not simply one of terminology. Professions differ from other occupations in a number of significant ways; in particular, high occupational status has “set professionals apart from other workers” (McMahon, 89-93). The effort to establish electrical engineering as a profession encompasses most of the major issues surrounding the working life of today’s engineers.
In the modern world, a person’s occupation is the most important determinant of his or her place in society. An occupation is what sociologists call an “achieved status,” a position one attains through merit and accomplishment (Whitaker, 56). Moreover, the attainment of an achieved status may allow for upward social mobility, the process through which individuals attain statuses higher than the ones held by their parents.

The participation of electrical engineers in management has been of crucial importance in defining the careers of individual engineers and the status of engineering in general. At the same time, however, the eagerness of many electrical engineers to leave their field in order to join the ranks of management seems to indicate that electrical engineering has not achieved an occupational status on a par with the traditional professions (Whitaker, 56). Yet electrical engineers generally enjoy relatively high incomes and occupational status and, thus, their position as true professionals is well recognized.

Electrical engineering shares a number of characteristics with established professions, most notably rigorous training and the application of theoretically grounded expertise. Professions distinguish themselves through their practitioners’ knowledge and application of specialized information.
